Quantity inspection
Quantity ascertainment of commodities loaded, discharged or transloaded is of vital importance to all parties involved in international trade since its results are used for final settlement of contracts.
J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. provides supervision of loading, discharge or transloading of any commodities transported by vessels, railway or trucks. All operations are carried out by fully qualified personnel and results reported in Quantity / Weight/ Draft Certificates.
Quantity and/or weight may be ascertained by any method applicable during cargo handling, such as tally, supervision of weighing by means of calibrated scales, draft survey, ullage measurement etc.
Quality inspection
J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. provides comprehensive quality inspection of any bulk cargo loaded, discharged or transloaded in all Polish seaports.
Quality inspection includes check of holds cleanliness prior to loading (in case of loading operation), constant supervision of loading/discharge/transloading and sampling of cargo in accordance with contractual requirements.
J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. is a member of FOSFA (Federation of Oils, Seeds & Fats Associations Ltd., London) and GAFTA (Grain and Feed Trade Association, London) to carry out inspections in accordance with relevant rules of these organisations.
Samples are analysed by own laboratory, and based on results received, J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. issues Quality Certificates, fully recognised by all parties involved in the transaction for settlement of their contracts.
Own, fully qualified inspectors and surveyors carry out quality supervision provided by J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. in Poland. Similar services in other seaports world-wide may be offered through a network of selected associates.
Quality and quantity inspection of bulk cargo is widely applied to grains, beans, pulses, oilseeds, pellets and other feedstuff, sugar, molasses, oils etc.
Laboratory analysis
The most common laboratory testing for agriculture products composition include determination of fat, protein, water, sugars, fiber, salt and ash content.
Our laboratory performs also analysis of other physicochemical properties such as acidity (acid number), peroxide number, density, color by spectrometry etc.
