Pesticide residues in herbal products. | 30-05-2011 | Michał Pestka
Herbal products could contain pesticide residues, which accumulate from agricultural practices. Pesticide residues in herbal medicines need to be controlled and tested in order to reduce health risks.
We are pleased to announce that J.S. Hamilton Poland Ltd. Laboratory has developed and validated the methods for determination of pesticide residues in herbal products, according to European Pharmacopoeia 7.0.
We apply three methods:
1. method - determination of pesticide residues by GC MSMS system (method PES/01/2011/1).
2. method - determination of inorganic bromides by gas chromatography with electron capture detection (method PES/02/2011/1).
3. method - determination of dithiocarbamates residues, described as the sum of the contents (as carbon disulfide). This method uses the headspace analysis technique coupled with gas chromatography with electron capture detection (method PES/03/2011/1).
We invite you to cooperation.
